This Privacy Policy explains how NextGadget ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the NextGadget mobile application and web console (the "Service") for device buyback and trade‑in. By using the Service you agree to this Policy.
1. Who we are
NextGadget provides a device buyback platform in the United Arab Emirates that lets partner shops and collectors value, sell, and track phone and device trade‑ins. For any privacy questions, contact us at privacy@nextgadget.ae.
2. Information we collect
- Account information — your email address, display name, and role (shop user, collector, or administrator).
- Buyback data — details you enter about devices (brand, model, condition/grade, pricing) and any device photos you capture or upload.
- Transaction & wallet data — buyback offers, statuses, and store wallet balances/ledger entries used to operate the service.
- Technical data — basic device and app information (app version, device model, and log/diagnostic data) needed to run and secure the app.
We do not collect precise location, contacts, or advertising identifiers, and the app contains no third‑party ads.
3. How we use information
- To authenticate you and provide the buyback, pricing, and wallet features.
- To keep records of trade‑in transactions for your store/account.
- To operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Service.
- To comply with applicable legal and accounting obligations.
4. How information is stored & shared
Your data is stored on our secured backend (self‑hosted Supabase/PostgreSQL) with access controlled by role‑based security. We do not sell your personal data. We share data only:
- within your own organisation/store, according to your role;
- with service providers that host and operate our infrastructure, under confidentiality obligations;
- where required by law or to protect our rights and users.
5. Data retention
We retain account and transaction data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service and meet legal/record‑keeping requirements, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
6. Security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), authenticated access tokens, and role‑based access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.
7. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting privacy@nextgadget.ae. Account deletion also removes associated personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.
8. Children
The Service is intended for business users and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
9. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
